Abdul-Kadir K. AHMED is the MD/CEO of NLNG Ship Management Ltd (NSML), the shipping and maritime services subsidiary of Nigeria LNG Ltd (NLNG), responsible for the technical management and manning of BGT’s fleet and NLNG’s loading terminal in Bonny Island.

Before his appointment as the MD/CEO, he was the erstwhile Manager, Commercial Marketing & Business Development in NLNG with primary responsibility for all commercial business development activities including contract negotiations & development, portfolio management and optimization. As Marketing & Business Development Manager, Abdul-Kadir was a member of the NLNG T3, T4/5 and led the Trains 6 & 7 marketing teams which were responsible for successfully marketing and negotiating contracts for the sale of over 15 MTPA of LNG with various LT buyers as well as the team responsible for the development and implementation of the Domestic LPG Scheme.

Prior to joining NLNG, his working career spanned both development and investment banking, Abdul-Kadir is a consummate LNG & Gas commercial professional with over 20 years’ experience in all functional areas of the Commercial LNG & Gas business; and has held several senior and management positions in Sales/Contract Administration, Pricing & Risk Management and Marketing & Business Development.

He has a degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and holds an MBA from the Cardiff Business School UK.
