Ganiyu is an experienced downstream Oil and Gas specialist, expert relationship builder, channel developer, negotiator and sales strategist with a strong desire to win by focusing on being brilliant at the basics first.

In the last 20 years, he has in various capacities proven to be an accomplished leader across the downstream value chain with key emphasis on delivering KPI growth, building and retaining teams, as well as delivering operational efficiency in Tank farms and optimising logistics assets.

Ganiyu is currently the Divisional Director, (Retail and Logistics) at Matrix Energy Group. Before then he was the Chief Operating Officer at Rainoil Limited where he led teams in Sales, LPG, depot operations, trading and logistics. Prior to that, he played a key role in the 100% acquisition of Ascon Oil by the Quest group and was the pioneer COO.

He started his career in Oando Plc and rose rapidly to hold different managerial positions in the downstream division of the business. At Oando, he led several social campaigns on LPG switch in Market places, rural areas and schools.

Ganiyu holds a Bachelor’s. Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos. He is also an alumnus of Lagos Business School, University of Cape Town and Mack Robison Business School, Atlanta, Georgia, US.

Ganiyu is a lover of nature and an ardent supporter of Arsenal football club.
