MR CHINASA EGO-OSUALA

Development
Early education at the Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Port Harcourt truncated by the Nigeria Civil war for a final completion at St Augustine’s Grammar School, Nkwerre, Imo State.
Further education at the University of Lagos to conclude in June 1976 obtaining B.Sc degree in Civil Engineering.
Working Life
Had an eventful professional development in the private sector, working on road development projects for the Ogun State Government in Idiroko/Ipokia, Ifo/Igbogun/Iwoye in 1976 to 1979.
Premiered in the oil industry with the execution of oil marketers facilities at the Benin Depot just prior to a full transition into NNPC in 1980 to the Project Engineering Division (PED).
Actively engaged in various engineering and project activities of the NNPC of National significance for a total of 32years, 21 years of which was spent in Nigeria LNG Limited.
Finally recalled from NLNG in April 2010 to the NNPC Corporate Headquarters, Abuja as the pioneer General Manager for the development of the Gas Central Processing Facilities (CPF).
Retired from NNPC in November 2011 on attaining the mandatory retirement age of 60.
Highlights of Working Life
Major highlights of working career are thus:
Engagement as one of the pioneer engineers in the concept development, engineering designs and project development activities culminating in the Shareholders’ Final Investment Decision (FID) for the 2 inception LNG trains and associated facilities of the Nigeria LNG Limited.
Personal highpoints in this NLNG engagement as the Expansion Coordinator are 2-fold thus:
  1. Leading and coordinating the multidiscipline, multi-departmental activities toward meeting the Shareholders’ Essential Conditions for taking Final Investment Decision (FID) for the NLNG Train 6 expansion.
  2. Leading the broad based and multi-departmental activities to midwife NLNG’s intervention in the supply of LPG to the domestic market in a seamless and sustainable manner, meeting acceptance and success criteria of major stakeholders
Family
Married to Mrs Flora Ego-Osuala with four adult children, Ebube, Chidinma, Chibueze and Onyekachi.
Hobbies
Hobbies include watching football, athletics, Formula 1 and golf. A good game by Arsenal and/or Barcelona (either of both) is usually a delight for any weekend.
