Nathaniel Oyatogun, Gas Customer Relations Manager for Seplat Energy Plc is an experienced energy industry executive with professional and mentoring capability that spans more than 3 decades in the oil, gas and power sectors. Professional membership and affiliations include the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME, Nigerian Gas Association, NGA, Society of Petroleum Engineers, SPE, International Gas Union, IGU and is the recipient of many industry and professional awards. He started his oil and gas industry career with Royal Dutch Shell and served in various capacities for more than 25 years and the last 7 years with Seplat Energy Plc, the leading indigenous and independent integrated energy company in Nigeria.

He is an accomplished technical and commercial professional and has served as Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Well-site Petroleum Engineer, Gas Planning Engineer, Business Development Manager, Marketing Manager, Gas Commercial Manager etc. He has had Project management leadership and led several novel and complex commercial constructs for the gas industry such as the Assa North Ohaji South, ANOH gas development, wet gas agreement, gas balancing agreement as well as numerous other flagship projects.

He has led industry advocacy groups such as Vice Chairman of the Gas Sub-Committee of Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS), of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry as well as team member in the development of the building blocks of the Nigerian Gas Master Plan, NGMP, the Nigerian Gas Transportation Network Code, NGTNC,  various workstreams in Gas Pricing Study, Petroleum Industry Bill development and served in the development of regulatory, commercial and infrastructure blue print of the NGMP. An expert witness in several cases of arbitration for the gas industry as well as subject matter expert in negotiations, arbitration, energy transition and sustainable development.

He is a public speaker, presenter and author and leverages on Knowledge Management for the purpose of Coaching & Mentoring.
