Engr. (Mrs) Nkem Agholor is currently the Director, Gas Department, Ministry of Petroleum Resources where she is responsible for the regulation and formulation of strategic policies and programmmes for the development of the Gas Sector in Nigeria.

She is a graduate of Electrical Engineering and holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), Port-Harcourt and possesses a Master of Business Administration from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife. Furthermore, she was also awarded pass staff course (psc) after successful completion of one year Staff Course at the Armed Forces Command & Staff College, Jaji where she acquired specialized expertise & competence in Defence & Security Matters at tactical and operational level.

Engr. (Mrs) Agholor has over 30 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer   and has gained diverse experience and made notable contributions in all the sectors she has worked including the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Power where she was the Deputy Director in charge of Distribution. She is a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and also a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE).

Her passion and dedication to her work has offered her the opportunity to serve on various committees in different capacities both locally and internationally.  At present, she represents Nigeria on the Board of Governors (BOG) of West Africa Gas Pipeline Authority (WAGPA), an International Institution that performs regulatory functions and monitors compliance of the West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo).

She is happily married with 3 sons.  Her hobbies include reading, solving puzzles and listening to music.
